I am a UK-trained Head & Neck, thyroid, and general paediatric and adult ENT Surgeon. I was born and brought up in Warwickshire, and studied Medicine at Cambridge University, where I received first class honours and an academic scholarship, before completing clinical training at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals, London.

I carried out ENT surgical training in the East of England, followed by a UK endocrine surgery fellowship, and then a prestigious international fellowship in Head & Neck Surgery in Brisbane, Australia. My consultant NHS practice is based at Lister Hospital, Hertfordshire, where I am the Clinical Director of Operating Theatres, and sit as the vice-Chair of the Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire thyroid and head & neck cancer multidisciplinary boards.

I run regular paediatric and adult ENT clinics and operating lists, as well as specialist head & neck, thyroid & parathyroid, and robotic lists. My research interests include head & neck cancer management, and the operative management of thyroid & parathyroid disorders. I lecture in Clinical Anatomy at Cambridge University and have an active role in teaching medical students and ENT surgical trainees.

I spend my free time with my wife and two young boys. I love the outdoors and enjoy skiing, swimming, and country walks with the family dog.
